To
celebrate Aki's birthday, he wanted to just spend a day with his
family. We had hoped to take the kids up to Park City for the Legos art
exhibit, but for various reasons decided to stay closer to home. We
spent some good time at the
Church history museum,
where the kids were interested to see the death masks of the prophet
Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum. The museum was also exhibiting the
winners of an international youth art competition...the works of art
made by such young people were amazing!

| This was done by a teenager in the Philippines. |
We then utilized our membership to the Planetarium and watched a 3D movie on the dome theater,
The Ultimate Wave (about surfing in Tahiti) and an IMAX movie,
To the Arctic.
The first movie gave us motion sickness and the second movie
traumatized us as a male polar bear was pursuing two young cubs trying
to kill them. Both, however, were very educational!
On
the way home, we realized we hadn't taken any photos, so we did it
while driving. It was a beautiful evening, and Tooele County looked so
pretty.

| Took my spot in the van and my sunglasses too. Can you say 8 going on 16? |
 |
| He didn't last five minutes. |
 |
| I love this man. He's a great driver too! |
 |
| Listening to Imagine Dragons or Bon Jovi, no doubt. |
 |
| Yep, Mom was there too! |
 |
| And last but not least... |
